This week we bring you three things to do before every drone flight. It is easy to get excited as you unpack your drone at a gorgeous new location. You are itching to get your drone in the air and start capturing stunning photos and videos to post to your Instagram account. You could also be like UpShot and be at a client location and be in a hurry to capture a special moment. Either way, you should always check these three things as they are easily overlooked when in a hurry.
- Did you remove your gimbal guards, both of them? The little grey block is extremely important when transporting your drone but can easily be left on when unpacking. Be sure to take off both guards!
- Double check that you have an SD card in your drone. This sounds obvious but it happens, trust us. You don't want to be in the air about to capture the bride walking to the altar and realize you forgot to put bak in the SD card.
- Format your SD cards before every flight. This prevents issues and frees up space, just make sure you have a system for keeping track of which cards have data on them and which can be erased. Check out the video to see our solution to this problem.
